FOCUS

Delivering reporting solutions that align to existing processes, allows information to be focused on the specific tasks that are performed. We allow the individual to “FOCUS” on the decision that they need to make, rather than how to get the information to help make the decision.

ACTION

Traditional reporting solutions provide static reports to individuals throughout the organisation to allow them to measure various aspects of the business. However, the next step in the process – doing something about the results – is normally unclear or unsupported by the solution.

We believe that any information delivered to an individual needs to be “actionable”. If there is not an action that can (or will) be taken from reviewing the information then the report is probably not necessary. This use of actionable information pertains to all areas of the business, and will allow individuals to become more dynamic in line with the overall goals of the organisation.

COLLABORATION

Individuals within an organisation need to interact in order to make the business function. Enhancing these interactions using information will establish a better working environment and allow collaboration to be measured. Creating a competitive environment where individuals can compare their performance with others, and share successes is key to business improvement. Understanding the ways in which individuals communicate will then allow a business to identify best-practice and refine or improve business processes to get the most out of their resources.

TRACEABILITY

Understanding whether the company is meeting its goals or not, is just the first piece of the Performance Management puzzle. In order to fully understand and benefit from investment in Performance Management solutions, a comprehensive closed-loop management system needs to be in place.

As goals are identified, and strategies are developed they need to be translated into operational actions. All of these levels need to be monitored so that they can be improved, and allow the strategic and operational aspects of the business to be balanced. Identifying which strategic objectives are being delivered by either an IT project or individual resource, provides not only a means of motivation – feeling part of the organisation, but also allows for management to monitor the progress and identify where improvements can be made. Too often, companies create objectives and do not provide any level of traceability down to the operational delivery. This lack of traceability leads to a reactive management system, where it is normally too late when issues are recognised, as reporting is performed at a higher-level without any reference to the operations.

We bring this process to life and close the performance loop between the high-level strategies and daily execution. Annual plans can be mapped back to daily to-do lists. The executive-level goals can be translated to department and functional area metrics and measures to keep the organization in alignment and drive consistency between annual plans and daily activity.
